- Mercedes-Benz gave the emblematic G-Class its first complete overhaul for the 2019 model year. Still built in Graz, Austria, the off-roader wore an evolutionary exterior design but it was entirely new beneath the sheet metal; the exterior door handles were one of the three components carried over from the old to the new G. Mercedes-Benz notably redesigned the frame and the steering system, and it stuffed more tech features into the cabin, but it kept the three locking differentials. Production continues in 2023.
- Power comes from a 4.0-liter twin-turbocharged V8, rated at 416 horsepower and 450 lb-ft of torque. Output is sent to all four wheels through a 9-speed automatic transmission and a 2-speed transfer case.
